Delta BC Travel Guide
Welcome to Delta!
The Corporation of Delta is composed of three communities: Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta. Located in the Fraser River delta just south of Richmond and west of Surrey, Delta is the gateway to Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Set amongst farmland, wetland and historic homes and buildings, Delta is well known for its verdant lowland scenery. Delta's natural beauty is also showcased by the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, Deas Island Regional Park, Boundary Bay Regional Park and North America's largest undeveloped urban land mass, the Burns Bog Nature Reserve. These four parks offer a variety of recreation options, with hiking, fishing and wildlife viewing being some of the more popular choices. Historic Ladner is an active fishing village with numerous boutiques and cafes, while Tsawwassen's sandy beaches provide opportunities for water sports and beach combing. In addition to being the site of a B.C. Ferries Terminal, Tsawwassen also provides the only land access to Point Roberts, U.S.A.
